Chuck Colson on FBI's Mark "Deep Throat" Felt

We shouldn't read too much into these small quotes. But wouldn't it have been better for Chuck Colson to use this current spotlight to renounce his own previous political "methods" rather than denounce FBI Deputy Director Felt's truth telling?

From the Seattle Times:

"But Charles Colson, a senior Nixon adviser who served seven months in prison for obstruction of justice in connection with Watergate abuses, declared that he was "personally shocked.""
"There were times when I should have blown the whistle, so I understand his feelings. But I cannot approve of his methods."

and from the AFP news:

"Mark Felt could have stopped Watergate," said Colson, who served time in jail and is now an evangelical Christian broadcaster. "He was in a position of that kind of influence. Instead, he goes out and basically undermines the administration."
